The cook time specifications are based off of a full charge with over 500 hours of field testing:
- 10" burner on medium = 1.5 – 2 hours
- 10" burning on high = 1 hour
- 6" burner on medium = 2 – 2.5 hours
Yes, you can use solar panels at 400 Watts to charge The Overlander. Along with 120 VAC, USB-C and 12V DC.
One of The Overlander versatile features is its multiple charging options:
- 120 VAC charges in 2-3 hours
- Solar at 400 Watts charges in 5 hours
- USB-C charges in 10 hours
- 12V DC charges in 10 hours

GENERAL USE
No flame, no fuel canisters, no carbon monoxide. That means you can cook inside a tent rv, off grid cabin, a garage, or a sealed-up house during a storm without ventilation concerns. It also means nothing to run out of at the worst moment, as long as your power station remains charged.
The Overlander is designed with induction stove technology and is compatible with; Anything magnetic. Cast iron, carbon steel, enameled cast iron, and most stainless steel.
Quick test: if a fridge magnet sticks firmly to the bottom, it works.
NOT COMPATIBLE WITH
Aluminum, copper, glass, and ceramic, unless they have a bonded magnetic base. Some stainless pans are non-magnetic and won't work either.
The Overlander makes it easy to clean. We designed the sturdy case and the dual induction stove top with smooth and easy to clean surfaces inside and out.
Wipe it down once cool. Because the surface doesn't get as hot as a gas burner, spills don't bake on the way they do on other stoves.
There's a quiet cooling fan, and some cookware produces a faint hum or buzz at high power. Thinner, layered pans tend to be noisier than solid cast iron.
Yes, The Overlander cook top is fire ban safe. With it's leveling feet, quick to cool surface, and most importantly–flameless features.
Lectric Boil has received a letter of support from Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
Yes. Unlike fuel stoves, induction output is unaffected by elevation or cold ambient temperatures. Water still boils at a lower temperature at altitude, so cooking times increase.
Yes, with our power station or with a battery bank of your choice that can deliver 1800Watt.
Yes. The Overlander produces no combustion byproducts. This is the main reason it's recommended over camp stoves during power outages, when people are tempted to bring propane or charcoal indoors. No risk of carbon monoxide poisoning or toxic fumes.

- When you pre-order you will be notified by email when you have the opportunity to convert your deposit into a pre-order in winter 2026, or sooner, once we’ve finalized our production and delivery schedule. This email will include final pricing and anticipated delivery timelines.
